Hi. How are you?
I'm here to introduce myself and schools I went to.
So make yourself comfortable and keep reading.
First, my Korean name is Chungsoo Park and my English name is Jennifer Park.
You may wonder why I have two names,
and it's because I have lived in America before.
My birthday is November 8, 1980.
I live in Seoul, Yangchungoo, Mokdong Apartement.
Basically Mokdong was a plain small town just around 10 years ago,
but then people started to build many apartements.
So Mokdong is largely made of many apartements.
When people first started to live in Mokdong,
the transportation was not very good.
It was very hard to get to Mokdong from other places because there was no subway.
But nowadays it's much better, because there is a subway.
Infact, my school, Chungmyeoung Girls High School is very close to
a subway station called Mokdong in number 5 line.
So, I already told you what school I am going to.
My school has a history of 91 years and it wasn't
originally located in Mokdong.
I transfer to Chungmyeoung Girls High School last year in spring
from Glenbrook North High School.
As you can tell from above, I lived in America for about 4 years.
I spent all years of junior high and partly high school in America.
There, I lived in a place called Northbrook, north of Chicago.
I came to Korea in middle of my sophomore year.
Glenbrook North High School was a great school
with good academic programms and many club activitives.
There is many difference between Korean school and American school,
generally. Of course this is from my point of view,
from what I saw and experienced.
I guess the major difference is number of students in a classroom.
There is about 55 to 60 students in Korean school,
compare to U.S, which about 25 to 30.
And another big difference is, unlike in U.S,
Korean students can't choose the subjects they take
and the teachers move from a class to class, not students.
This facts simply doesn't mean American schools are better than Korean schools.
Both school has odds and evens.
Oh, and I forgot to tell you the bigest difference
between the school I went to U.S and Korea.
It is a fact that my Korean school is only for girls!
There is many only girls or boys school in Korea, unlike America.
I want to tell you more about myself and my life,
but maybe some other time. Sorry I have to go now.
Our computer teacher said when we go to college,
we can put our address in our pages.
So when I go to college I write my address in my home pages
and you can write to me and ask me about stuffs you want to know more about.
Well, thanks for visiting and good luck with your life!
