Alas! These cranes are no longer available here.
No more pictures of them.
The cranes have gone forever because the natural habitat of the cranes has been completely destroyed by the newly-built Central Highway. One more human disaster!
(This picture with Mt. Chiak in the background was taken with my Nicon camera equipped with a 200-mm telescopic lens on the outskirts of Wonju City, Kangwon-do in July 1993.)

An American singer was fascinated to this picture, she writes music and sings to this picture-The title is "Dancing Cranes". the following is her mail(digest).

Dear Parae,

My name is Demian and I am a human rights activist and female vocalist, singer/songwriter for DreamSinger. I love your photos - especially the one of the beautiful cranes.
You have such an eye for beauty and it's obvious you care very much about the environment. I am asking your permission to use your photo of cranes in my graphic design for DreamSinger's upcoming CD Sampler, "For the Sake of Love".
I have placed your image with the song, "Dancing Cranes" :), on my MP3.com site, http://artists.mp3s.com/artist_song/791/791125.html.

Demian Please listen to the song. I think you will like it. If you give me permission I will also give you credit and put your URL on the CD.
If you like I will be glad to purchase the right to use it -
but maybe we can work something out and I can pay you as I make money with the CD.
I am so glad you pursued your dream and are sharing your talent with others through your website.
I think you will like what my music represents and I hope you will be willing to allow your picture to be used to help support it.
My human rights activist and song artist site is http://www.keepingthedream.com
Please come visit me and write back!
Dancing Cranes CD cover picture I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Demian,
DreamSinger
